How to play

Hold and drag across the 6×6 board of letter keys to spell a word. Keys next to each other count, and so do corners. A word needs at least 3 letters.
The word goes white when it is a real word, and shows its points. Let go to play it.
A word scores letters × letters × 10, so long words pay much more.
Dark blue letters are worth +30 each.
A ladder crosses every board. Ride it end to end and each letter it carries you over is +15.
There is no timer. What runs out is words: fill the bar before you run out. Each round wants more points from fewer words.

Can I play it before it is on the App Store?: Yes. Open the free public beta on your iPhone or iPad. It asks you to install Apple’s free TestFlight app, then installs Snake Butt Words. When the game comes out on the App Store, you can switch to that version.
Does it need the internet?: No. Snake Butt Words works completely offline.
Does it cost anything or have ads?: It is free. There are no ads and no purchases.
How do I turn sound on?: Tap the SOUND button in the top right. Sound is off by default.
How do I pause, or get back to the start screen?: Tap the back arrow in the top left. CONTINUE picks up where you left off; NEW GAME starts again from round 1.
Where is my best round saved, and how do I reset it?: Your best round is saved on your device only. To reset it, delete the app and install it again.
Which devices does it run on?: iPhone and iPad running iOS 16 or later.
